Why can't I access an alternative version of a publication using Ally that my tutor has uploaded to a module?
Not all documents uploaded to your module will be checked by Ally including some files and 3rd party content.
Ally does not check:
- rtf – Rich Text Files
- wpd – Corel Word Perfect files
- txt – NotePad
- xls – Microsoft Excel
- Content links to external or third-party content.
This is not an exhaustive list, it’s simply a sample of some common files people may use.
In most cases, you can ask your tutor to provide you with an alternative version. However, the external content is governed differently by publishers and originators. Ask your tutor if a digital or digitised version can be made available.
