Does Turnitin accept Powerpoint submissions
Note: For further information and guidance on using Turnitin, see the Turnitin Submission section on our Online Learning support pages for a video demo or pdf guide on submitting or viewing grades/feedback.
PowerPoint files are accepted with extensions (.pptx, .ppt, .ppsx, and .pps).
Turnitin converts a PowerPoint slide deck into a static PDF, leaving all text and images in their original format but leaving out features such as presenter notes, embedded video, and animations. Text with visual effects is not supported, and it is recommended that any visual effects such as shadows and 3D be removed prior to submitting to Turnitin.
PowerPoint presentations can be submitted to Turnitin in their standard .ppt or .pptx format, but if the student needs the tutor to see any notes that they have added to slides they will need to change the file type and settings of their presentation prior to submission to PDF.
