If you are experiencing serious personal, medical or financial issues you may be able to apply to interrupt your studies.
If you interrupt your studies, it means you’re taking time out from your course with the intention of re-joining later, usually within 12 months. While interrupted, you are still considered a student for most purposes, but Student Finance is not usually available during the interruption period
