Do students have to complete training on harassment and sexual misconduct?

Yes, all students are now required to complete mandatory training as part of their induction. This training is designed to help you understand key topics such as consent, healthy relationships, and how to intervene safely if you witness inappropriate behaviour. The course is inclusive, research-informed, and accessible to all students.

You can access the training online via Blackboard under the “Consent Matters” programme. In addition, first-year undergraduate students will attend a face-to-face induction session during September. These sessions provide space for discussion and reinforce the University’s community standards. Completing this training is an important part of creating a respectful and supportive campus environment.
