How do I access VitalSource Bookshelf e-textbooks
VitalSource Bookshelf is an e-book platform with great accessibility features. You can access VitalSource books via Discover More or your reading list.
The first time you access VitalSource Bookshelf you may be asked to enter your email address to access content. You can, alternatively click 'Continue without an Account' and still read books, but you will have an anonymised account.
If you choose to enter your email and create an account, the password will not be linked to your university password, you can reset this password via the link at login though.
Any bookmarks, notes or viewing preferences will now be remembered in your account, whether you have personalised it or opted for an anonymised account.
If you have a link directly to a chapter and you haven't used VitalSource Bookshelf before you may be directed to a login page with no option to login as an Edge Hill user. If this happens, please go to Discover More, search for the book and use that link, you can then navigate to the chapter you require
